HBO Max launched in Italy with a two-part event in Rome, bringing together premiere screening and gala evening for its official debut.

The program opened at Cinema The Space Moderno with the premiere of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, introducing the platform through one of its most anticipated titles. The red carpet welcomed international talent, including showrunner Ira Parker alongside Peter Claffey and Tanzyn Crawford, marking HBO Max’s entry into the Italian market.

The evening continued at Spazio Field, Palazzo Brancaccio, bringing together a wide network of guests from the film and entertainment industry, alongside cast and talent from upcoming titles. Among them, Marco Bellocchio presented Portobello, one of the first Italian productions announced for the platform, alongside key representatives of Warner Bros. Discovery and the international leadership team.

Within a fully transformed setting, the gala translated HBO Max’s content universe into a physical experience. Iconic series, films and stories were reinterpreted through scenographic installations and environments, turning recognizable narratives into tangible elements and immersive settings — a curated project designed to express the platform’s identity beyond the screen.
